Where the data comes from
Every show is collected by hand; Gig Tracer uses no ticketing or concert API. The first choice is the artist's or promoter's official tour page. Past tours also come from Wikipedia tour articles and press reports, and venue locations from the venue's Wikipedia article or OpenStreetMap. Each show keeps its source, its status (confirmed, cancelled or postponed) and a confidence level; upcoming shows are marked high confidence only when an official page or two independent news sites agree.

Questions
What is Gig Tracer?
Gig Tracer is a free web app that draws a pop star's official tour stops on a 3D globe in date order. Press play to follow the upcoming shows from today, or rewind through the tours they have already played.
Which artists does Gig Tracer cover?
40 artists and groups: AC/DC, aespa, Ariana Grande, ATEEZ, BABYMONSTER, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, BigBang, Billie Eilish, BLACKPINK, Bruno Mars, BTS, Chappell Roan, Coldplay, Conan Gray, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, ENHYPEN, Gracie Abrams, Harry Styles, IVE, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, LE SSERAFIM, Metallica, NCT DREAM, Oasis, Olivia Rodrigo, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, SEVENTEEN, Shakira, Stray Kids, SZA, Tate McRae, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, TWICE, TXT, U2.
Where does the tour data come from?
Every show is collected by hand. The first choice is the artist's or promoter's official tour page; past tours also come from Wikipedia tour articles and press reports, and venue locations from Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap. Each show records its source and how confident we are in it.
Is Gig Tracer free? Do I need an account?
It is free and needs no account. Signing in with Google is only needed to post comments.
Does Gig Tracer show cancelled or postponed shows?
Only confirmed shows appear on the globe. Cancelled and postponed shows stay in the data, and people who follow an artist are told when one of their shows is called off.
How is the distance travelled calculated?
When a playback ends, the summary adds up the straight-line distance over the Earth's surface (great-circle distance) between one venue and the next, in date order. Several nights in a row at one venue count as one stop. Real travel by plane or road is longer, and trips home between shows are not included, so the figure shows how far the tour moved across the map rather than the miles the crew actually covered.
How do I report a wrong date or venue?
Write to contact@gigtracer.com with the show and a link to the source. Dates change often, so corrections are welcome.
Is Gig Tracer affiliated with the artists or ticket sellers?
No. Gig Tracer is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with any artist, promoter or ticket seller. It does not sell tickets.
